Carlsbad Water Polo Club (CBAD) is a year-round water polo program. We train and teach our water polo players the dynamic sport of water polo. Our club reinforces high self-esteem, self-motivation, physical fitness and respect for others.CBAD focuses on the fundamental skills necessary to have success at all levels of the game. It is my philosophy that players with solid fundamentals will have the most success in the long-term. Our coaching staff is one of the top in the state, made up of CIF, Speedo Cup Junior Olympic Champions and aspiring young coaches. We focus on in-water instruction which directly impacts each player's game. We train at the Carlsbad High School pool.

Mike Mulvey Awarded NAAA Sword for Men--First water polo player to win Sword since 1992. ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- The United States Naval Academy announced its major athletic award winners Thursday afternoon at the annual Prizes and Awards Ceremony at Alumni Hall.Water polo standout Mike Mulvey (Carlsbad, Calif.) was named the winner of the NAAA Sword for Men, presented to that man of the graduating class who is considered by the Association's Athletic Council to have personally excelled in men's athletics during his years of varsity competition.

Since our inception in 2000, our club has been ranked in the top 5% nationally and have we have placed a team in the top 1% multiple times. Carlsbad Water Polo is one of the few clubs in the country that can make such a claim......and we are very proud of our consistent pursuit of excellence.
